(Do not read this if you’re driving)

Are you driving alone from Tagamo3 all the way to 6th of October City during the rush hour? Don’t worry! Time will fly as they say, while your temper will not tampered with, only if you read the following advice:

1. If you’re a smoker, should I go on about making sure you have at least a full pack? You never know how long the journey might take.

200 (8)2. Before starting your journey, make sure you stock up on plenty of food and beverages to sustain your survival. Also make sure you have an AUX cord or some sort of way you could play music that you like in the car.

2003. Make sure to have a good internet plan on your phone that allows you to check your feeds and updates on the way. It’s also very helpful if you want to use GPS navigator or traffic telling applications.

200 (2)4. Aside from food and beverage, try having packs of chewing gum and mint. A pack or two won’t make you broke but will sure make you ready to chew on something instead of killing someone. This helps reduce stress levels and also helps shifting your stress somewhere else.

200 (3)5. Before leaving your house, take some time to create a playlist dedicated to traffic. Make sure to carefully select the music that fits well with keeping you calm. (Death metal is not fully encouraged)

200 (1)6. Drive with attitude. Don’t give a s*** about who cuts you off or who suddenly changes lane to jump on your hood or any of the so normal things we see on the streets of Cairo. Start caring less in other words.

200 (4)7. Placing a fluffy stuffed animal in the car really helps. Looking at its cute eyes and touching its soft texture, will reduce stress levels and maintain your temper.

200 (5)I’m no anger management expert; I have just been driving around Egypt for too long. If these tips do not help you, I suggest you seek a professional anger management counselor.
