I’m a person who cuts their hair as often as she changes her clothes. Hair cuts can be really empowering if you’re a woman. And while I’m currently sporting a cute pixie cut, going to the hair salon for a new hairdo is not a particularly easy task. You go through a whirlwind of emotions from the moment you enter the salon to the moment you leave sporting your new-do.
1.Thought and Reflection
First things first, you to have to look at yourself in the mirror and reflect on your reflection. This is the point where you decide that it’s about time to cut those lovely locks.
2. Bargaining
So you’re not really ready to cut your hair just yet. You sport a cap or some form of head wear for some time to deal with the unruly hairs and to trick yourself into thinking that it’s not time for you to cut it. You even try parting it differently or putting some hairs behind your ear to no avail!
3. Determination
You’ve finally decided to head to the salon. You’re officially ready to take on whatever haircut life throws at you…or so it seems!
4. Relief
Walking into the salon and having the hair stylist cut the first few locks makes you feel like you’re steps away from your new do. Except something is not right…
5. Anxiety
As the hair stylist cuts more and more of your hair, you realize that this is not the hair cut you asked for. You’re feeling very anxious with every snip snip.
6. Panic
Oh no no no! A hair disaster is occurring! Your hair is awful!
7. Anger
The hair stylist has to fix your hair now! And you’re currently red with rage trying to get him to fix your do.
8. Despair
There’s not much you can do now. The man has tried all he can to fix your hair but, it’s too late. All you can do is stare at your reflection in the mirror and weep and mourn your lost strands of hair.
9. Acceptance
Well, you have to accept your fate. This is what your hair is going to be like for quite some time. But hey, it’ll grow back right?
A moment of silence for all the hairs that were lost in this scissor battle :'(
