Everyone thinks about changing the world rather than changing themselves. No one likes to think that they are the ones who need to change. Instead of trying to change themselves for the better or settle down to think about what might actually be causing the problem and how to really solve it, they make the easier choices and take the easier paths and just blame everything on others.

If everyone tries to change the world rather than changing themselves, no one would be pleased. No change, whether it’s a change in the world or a change in yourself, will ever satisfy all 7.5 billion people living on this planet. Be honest to yourself and change the unpleasant things you don’t like about yourself instead of trying to change the world.

When we feel that we’re under attack, we may resort to blaming as a method of defending ourselves. We point fingers at others in order to protect ourselves. When something turns out badly, we feel a profound need to clarify what created the issue. A method for discovering the reason behind the issue is to blame someone else. As a result, we rush to judge others and we are quick to deny and avoid responsibility.

In order to stop blaming others, you must truly believe that there is a lesson behind the issue that must be learnt, and you should be willing to learn it. You won’t be able to move forward unless you are willing to learn from the mistake. Simply think about how you might have one way or another contributed to your present circumstance or issue. Attempt to see the circumstance from an alternate point of view. Be objective and see it through someone else’s eyes. This requires you to be absolutely honest with yourself about your actions and choices.

The only thing that you can never really change without is your will. You can never change if you don’t want to. Without knowing the direction in which you want your life to go, the way you want to change your life and the consequences you desire, you’ll have a lot of trouble deciding how to change yourself. You must know if you have the ability, the time, the tools and the support needed in order to make the change happen. If you lack one of these must haves, then you should know why this change won’t work out. One of the major failures of change is not really knowing your capabilities and potentials, as a result you set goals that are too high or even illusive. Breaking, twisting around and adjusting some commitments to make the change seem feasible is necessary to undergo a successful change. In order to see the change happen, you must be willing to make sacrifices, work without encouragement and endure long enough to see the results.

Stop blaming others and admit the fact that you might have contributed to the problem. Don’t try to change the world because you won’t be able to control how others think and act. Instead, try to make yourself a better person. Be willing to change. If you really want to change the world, start by changing yourself.
