A few weeks ago, a mysterious tomb has been discovered in Sidi Gaber, Alexandria. The discovery gained a huge international attention since it was expected to be the long lost tomb of Alexander the great.

Well…in an unfortunate turn of events, the tomb turned out to be not as interesting as we once thought.

Additionally, a hole was found in one of the skeleton’s skull, leading the scientists and archeologists to believe it resulted from an operation called “Trepanatio”; which is a known operation for practiced since the prehistoric ages.

As for the controversial red water found in the tomb – the one people of the internet petitioned to drink – Dr. Ayman Ashmawy, Head of Egyptian Antiquities Sector, has expressed the probabilities of it being a mixture of the tomb’s well water with the decomposed corpses soft texture.

Not as appetizing as the internet once thought, huh?

Such a huge disappointment that Alexander the great wasn’t the mystery waiting for us in the tomb; but who knows? The whole thing is still undergoing some further studies, investigations, as well as DNA tests; so maybe something interesting will finally come out of it.
