Concealers are the most misused makeup item. I agree, it is tricky; however, it’s a very important part of makeup. You could look fresh or tired just from your “under eye” condition.

One of the most common mistakes is not using the right shade. It’s either you use a lighter shade, or not blending the product well.

  • If you used a lighter shade directly on dark circles, it will turn grey or sometimes ashy blue. Whether you have brown or blue under eye circles, you need to use a corrector first to neutralize the darkness then apply your concealer.
  • Some makeup artists say that you should get your concealer one shade lighter to brighten up under your eyes, but I, personally, prefer use the same shade as your foundation. Itโ€™s easier to apply, especially if youโ€™re a beginners.

Same as foundation; apply the smallest amount, blend it well and apply more if needed. More application tips will be in another post
