Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” Also on Track to Become First Video to Surpass 3 Billion Views on YouTube.

Luis Fonsi’s music video for Despacito featuring Daddy Yankee has broke the record for the most viewed video of all time on YouTube, a record previously held by Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth after overtaking five-year record holder “Gangnam Style” by Psy. On Friday, Aug. 4 the official music video for “Despacito” hit 2,993,786,682 views and surpassed “See You Again” (which was at 2,993,651,270) to become the most viewed video of all time. The video is also on track to soon become the first video of all time to surpass 3 billion views on YouTube.

It took just 203 days for the official music video for “Despacito” to become the most viewed video in YouTube history (these numbers do not include the also popular video featuring Justin Bieber which has more than 464m views).
