TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY CAROLINE TAIX A file picture taken on July 19, 2012 shows a man taking a picture of his meal with his mobile phone to share it on the "Food Reporters" network during his lunch in a restaurant in Paris. Fed up with patrons snapping photographs with their smartphones to post on social networks, several Michelin-starred French establishments are trying to crack down on so-called "food porn". Food bloggers, and even some chefs, defend the pictures as free publicity, but for many the sharing has just gone too far. AFP PHOTO / ANA AREVALO

I think all of us, Egyptians, live by the general motto that there’s no greater pleasure than food. That’s why, the Egyptian food blogging scene is pretty much flourishing, with very talented foodies who are making our stomachs rumble one post at a time.

Here are our current favourites:

Bite & Brag:

Their specialty has to hands down be desserts. From Bala7 El Sham to Red Velvet Cake, they’re eating their way through all of the desserts our nation has to offer stirring up our sugar cravings in the process.

Foodista Egypt:

This account is more like a guide that features both their own original shots, as well as reposts from other accounts. The verdict? All their posts are dazzlingly mouth-watering!

Aya Shaker:

She eats, she photographs and she makes us want to lick our screens. Yeah, that pretty much sums up her account.

Shendy’s Food Insanity:

We have so much respect for this guy’s passion for food- it’s endless.

The Food Review:

All we’re going to say is: follow this account at your own risk. Seriously! It’s like a food haven.

Delicious Confessions:

In preparation for the food-less days to come, i’ve decided to eat everything in sight ☺️ #deliciousconfessions

Whether you’re a fan of restaurant food or homemade goodies, all can be found on this creatively named account.

We pretty much think this article was our suicide note, because we’re going on a food rampage right after publishing it and we may or may not ever come back alive.
