What are adults but a bunch of people pretending to know what they’re doing? I think most of us are clueless to who we are and what we’re doing. We’re never fully conscious of what’s happening around us. There are things however, an adult can do to regain productivity and effectivity. If you’re feeling like you can’t tell your head from your toes anymore, and that life’s falling apart, here are a few things to get you back on track:

1- Be Proactivezoey

Try not to be indifferent towards your problems. Act upon things. If a problem arises at home with you mother, at work with your boss or anywhere, make a plan, ensure a procedure and then act upon it to solve it. We sometimes tend to complain about our problems without acting upon them, but that’ll only create a snow ball effect. Respond to things from the beginning.

2- Always have a set goal in mindplan

If you’ve got a goal in your head, things might seem clearer. Sometimes, we feel lost because we don’t know which direction we’re heading or why we’re doing the things we’re doing on a daily basis. If you feel purposeless, that’s when you’ll be the least productive. Make sure you have a set goal everyday. It doesn’t have to be a firm goal for the future, but you can set small daily goals. You’ll have a clear image in your head of the things you need to get done by the day! You’ll feel a lot more effective.

3- But also don’t be afraid to be spontaneousspont

Don’t, however, turn into an inflexible monster. Random things are going to come up and you need to act upon them too! Don’t just stick to your plan no matter what. You can bend the rules sometimes. Have fun, and allow yourself spontaneity.

4- Prioritisebug-tracking-priorities

In order to be productive, you need to prioritise. Make a list of all the things that are important to you and make them your priority. If your work is very important to you, but your constant outings are derailing you, then make it clear that work comes first, even if that means losing a few friends. No matter what’s coming up, make sure that your work doesn’t get affected.

5- Don’t be afraid to ask for helphelp

We all fall behind sometimes, and that’s okay. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you know you need it. Whether that is from friends, family members, anyone. Have someone supporting you and helping you get back up. If you’ve got someone supporting you, you’ll instantly find yourself more effective in life.

6- Improve yourselfgirl

If you’re improving, whether that is physically or intellectually, you’ll be happier and more productive. As long as you’re getting better at something, you won’t feel like you’re falling behind and you’ll know you’re being more productive.

Do these things, and you’ll definitely get back on track! Also, you should read Sean Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens! It’ll help you feel a lot more conscious of what to do (even if we’re not teens).
