Back then when she was an IB student at Oasis and a basketball player, Hadia Ghaleb never had the time to think about fashion or to dress properly for that matter! She was always so involved in her athletic and academic life yet she knew she had it in her. Now she’s an Instagram sensation and an inspiration to many young girls out there; with thousands of followers, enjoying her everyday look and style.

WHEN DID IT ALL START?
It all started when I went to college and every day I would go dressed up in a creative outfit. By that time, AUC’s fashion magazine had just started and the managing editor approached me to offer that I’d join their team and become a stylist. Later, I picked up a position at TeenStuff as the head of the fashion section. I started posting fashion tips and pictures simultaneously. Bit by bit I started to gain followers and things started to take a serious course until one of my biggest collaborations was with Vince Camuto when I promoted their opening in Cairo two months ago.

WHAT ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS YOU INCLUDE IN YOUR BLOG?
Note that I don’t have a blog. I have a very active Instagram page. It’s efficient, convenient and accessible at all times enabling me to have up to 3-4 posts per day. And that’s why I always try to keep it light, all the way from fashion tips to small videos and tutorials.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR BIGGEST GOAL FOR THE NEAR FUTURE- SAY IN 5 TO 10 YEARS, WHERE WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
I honestly have no idea where I want to be in 5-10 years. All I know is that I want to describe myself using words like: successful, fulfilled and happy regardless of what it is that I’m doing.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU ADVICE ASPIRING BLOGGERS/INSTAGRAMERS TO DO/USE?
* If you don’t have something new and unique to offer, drop the whole thing. It’s time and consuming and really not worth the hassle.
* Always post at peak hours. It’s absolutely useless to post at 2 am during week days when most of us are sleeping.
* Keep them wanting more. Post teasers, details of the outfit and announce that more is coming up.
* Always interact with your fans. Respond to their comments and even maybe like their pictures back. You’ll create an everlasting bond with them.
* Have an identity and stick to it. Always keep it fun and entertaining.
* Don’t underestimate the power of a nicely composed picture. Yes it’s about the fashion and the clothes, but when combined with a sunset or a sea, it’s a jackpot!
