During Ramadan, we all tend to ditch many kinds of food and stick to our oriental Egyptian cuisine, sometimes mixing it with the Italian one too!! Ramadan’s Iftar table is always one of the most lavish tables we gather around the whole year. Starting with ma7shi, fattah and macarona bechamel to 7amam ma7shy w batt and everything in between!! We love that; don’t get me wrong. However, there are other kinds of food we like but don’t get the chance to eat during Ramadan. Better hurry up and eat them now:

1-Sushi

It’s rarely eaten for Iftar because sushi never really satisfies one’s hunger. It’s also never eaten for Sohoor, because it will definitely leave you thirsty the day after. This leaves sushi ignored for the whole month, so it’s now or never! Head to Mori Sushi and order your favorites.

2-Pizza

I don’t know the reason behind avoiding pizza in Ramadan, however, you rarely find someone craving it during the holy month. Treat yourself to a tasty pizza from either Pizza Hut or Pizza Thomas before Ramadan.

3-Burger

Again, no one really craves Western food in Ramadan. However, the real reason behind not considering burgers for either Iftar or Sohoor is that good burgers are usually consumed at a burger place and not delivered to your home, and no one really likes eating out in Ramadan. Go grab one of your favorite juicy burgers before it’s too late. To make it easier for you, head to Butcher’s Burger!

4-Ice-cream and Chocolate

Well, it would not really occur to anyone eating desserts other than basbousa, konafa and baklawa, with their different chocolate, mango or cheese variations, during Ramadan. These oriental desserts just don’t leave room for any other sweets. Nothing beats Crave’s Chocolate fondant with ice cream on the side!!

5-Fish

We refrain from eating fish during Ramadan for the same reasons like sushi. It doesn’t really satisfy your hunger and often leaves you thirsty. Invite your family to a nice fish restaurant and enjoy a delicious “aklet samak” before Ramadan. Better yet, head to Alex!!

6-A Delicious Breakfast

The breakfast meal always has a special effect on the rest of one’s day!! There’s no better breakfast than Qahwa’s, and it’s now available at both, Arkan (Sheikh Zayed) and Waterway (Tagamo3 Khames).
