Egypt is home to some of the most gorgeous and glamourous women out there. With their hard work and inspirational tenacity, it’s hard not fall in love with the heart and soul of an Egyptian woman. For some reason, though, I believe a majority of them find it hard to translate their unique identities into their own fashion style.

We have a lot to give, and thus, a lot to express- I fully get that. I respect that style is individually unique but I feel like some of us are overdoing it to an extent that has become no longer beneficial. With that said, I refuse to let another gorgeous Egyptian leave her home without stressing enough on this one rule of thumb: Simplicity

How can Egyptian women achieve that ‘gorgeous look’:

1-Simplicity is the utmost chic…It’s sophistication, it’s elegance, and it can reflect a very thoughtful style.

2-You can be extremely alluring in monotone pairings and plain pieces.

3-The myth of packing on colours and jewels to add life to an outfit can be totally misleading.

4-The less colours and prints you combine, the more focused the style can be.

5-True style means attention to detail, and flattering fits. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between working your assets and feeling amazing.

6-The quality of your appearance is not about what you wear or how much there is of it-it’s how you wear it. If you look at Givenchy muse, Audrey Hepburn, you will find that simplicity was key to her elegance and the reason why her style remains so timeless. She was attentive to the fit of her clothes (things that accentuated her ballerina figure) and frankly, did not need much more than that to look absolutely regal.

To be chic is to be effortless, and simplicity is just that. Something about a woman that can make a white shirt her own deserves admiration. It says that she doesn’t need much to look great and still be distinctive. She doesn’t need to ornate herself in an exaggerated fashion and or be too revealing. Her own twist has the ability to take a few things and make them appealing.

Express yourselves ladies; it is your absolute right to do so but there is no need to overstate yourself. In the words of the lovely Coco Chanel, “less is always more”.
