Lindsay Lohan decided to go international with a post that is supposedly saying, ”you’re beautiful” in Arabic. Shout out to whoever convinced her that ”homar” is the Arabic word for “beautiful.”
Thank God she wrote this on Instagram, and not on her body as a tattoo. At least the catastrophe only lasted for a short period of time….. Thanks to her Arab friends!!
It turns out that Lindsay isn’t the first victim to be confused by our language. There are lots of misleading Arabic words online that foreigners could easily fall for, and some even ink on their bodies:

In Lindsay’s defense ”homar” is the very first Google Image result for ”you’re beautiful” in Arabic. But another reason to always double check everything.
