For some reason, most of us tend to go out solely for food in Egypt. That’s just what we do: We go out, we eat. But there’s so much more you can do! There are actually quite a few activities you can do that are fun and that don’t revolve around food. Hurray! In case you’re tired of the same old going-out-for-food scenario, and are really craving some Adrenaline-boost, here are 7 Adrenaline-Rush activities to do in Egypt!

1- GMAX Reverse Bungeema

This one’s definitely not for the faint-hearted. I couldn’t help but feel anxious for the people I had seen riding it in the video! But, if fun’s what you’re looking for, then that’s definitely it! You can find it at Mall of Arabia (nearest to gate 19), 6 October City.
Opening hours: 4:00pm – 12:00am

2- Diving ocean_dimensions_scuba_diving

Next time you go swimming in the Red Sea, go all in. Snorkeling is cool and all, but diving is a whole other experience. When I did it, it actually felt like I was immersed in this whole new other world. It’s magical. And you get to see breathtaking, colourful creatures hiding behind the corals. It can sound daunting for the those who aren’t huge fans of the sea, but it’s an activity you need to experience at least once in your life! And hey, it doesn’t revolve around food! And since our weather’s pretty cool all year round, it’s still recommended that you go diving now! It’s mostly practiced in Sharm El Sheikh, but here’s a list of all Egypt’s greatest diving sites.

3- Rock Climbingrock-climbing-6

Apparently, rock climbing is best during winter, from October to March. So right now sounds like the perfect time for some adventure! It usually takes place in Dahab and St. Catherine. Desert Divers will help you find what sort of rock climbing you want and where to find it!
Location:
Desert Divers can be found on the beach at Marine Garden Bedouin Camp, Lighthouse, Dahab.

4- Parasailing para

Parasailing is one hell of a great experience. It’s actually not that scary. You feel secure being attached to the strings, and specifically that the sea is what’s underneath you if you fall (in case your mind is all about creating the worst-case scenarios). The activity is available in almost all resorts in El Gouna. Next time you’re travelling there, don’t forget to try it. Also, you can do it with a friend. So, the scare is shared.

5- Paintball paint

Fortunately, you can do that in Cairo! It’s fun, and you get to do it with a lot of your friends. It works well as a substitute for the restaurant hangout.
Adrenalin Paintball, ElHezam AlAkhdar, 6th October City, is open from 2:00pm to 9:00pm. You can also call them for more information on one of these numbers: 0111 0014 177 – 012 2500 1008.

6- Sand-boarding

Surfing the sand dunes definitely sounds like fun. I mean, we don’t get to ski and that sounds fairly close. The Sandboarding Cairo Club is based in Wadi Degla! You can call them on: 01028280975 for more information.
And Here’s another Egypt Sandboarding that’s located in Sharm El Sheikh!

7- Hot Air Balloon

That’s probably going to be at Luxor during winter time. Imagine going up in the open air, and having the mesmerising view of the Nile and Luxor beneath you. SindBad Hot Air Balloons is located at 37 Abdel Hamed El-Omda street, off TV street, Luxor, Egypt. Call them on: +2 095 227 2960. Next time you visit Luxor, book yourself a hot air balloon ride. You won’t regret it.

Now, stop it with the food and go do these things!
