Adult

Transitioning from your careless teenage years to becoming a responsible adult can be a hella scary experience. Since we do everything on our phone anyway, we might as well make use of the resources we have on our hands and download the following apps to help us through it all.

Getting a job

1- LinkedIn App

unnamed

Networking can be really hard, especially when you’re not exposed to physical events with people of your field and related to your career. With LinkedIn, your profile is more than just a CV, you get to show people who you are AND you get to do all the networking activities online. This way, you know which companies have vacancies, check for updates and meet people who will always be in your professional network for future reference.

2- KOKO

Social media isn’t just instagramming and snapchatting, with Koko you’ll have a safe space to share your worries and anxieties and connect with people who might have tips for you to deal with it. Mental health is no joke, and being able to relate to people nearby going through similar anxieties, such as interviews and giving talks, sure does help.

Getting to places on time

3- Bey2ollak

8-4

Egyptian traffic is an absolute nightmare. A meshwar that can take 45 minutes can very easily take up 2 hours if you add rush hour and a car accident or two to the equation. Google Maps and By2olak help tell you where the worst za7ma is and where to avoid it.

Money, money

4- Wally

Budgeting yourself and saving up is the epitome of adulting, and probably the toughest part of it all. Wally and other financial organization apps help us get our sh** together.

Get organized

5- Evernote

Literally encompasses everything from to-do lists, to writing memos and meeting minutes, to scanning documents and syncing them across your devices. Whether you’re juggling studying and working or just working, Evernote is a must.

6- Organizer To-Do

This app is the best to-do list organizer for all your domestic responsibilities. Your grocery list, your chores list, and unlimited to-dos synced with your calendar, all in one place. Adulting, come at me.

7- Or Wunderlist

Similar to Organizer To-Do, Wunderlist is a pretty popular app that helps you organize everything from the domestic to the work and also syncs to your calendar. You can try them both out and see which one fits your needs best.

Feed Yourself

8- SuperCook

This is a website, not an app. Go on www.supercook.com and all you have to do is pick out ingredients you already have at home for customized recipes. Forget going to get groceries if you’re not wearing pants.

Taking Care of Your Health

9- WebMD

Taking care of yourself when you’re sick is tough, and with Symptom Checker and medicine info, you won’t have to do it alone. These are the kinda apps that save lives!

Paper work

10- Cam Scanner

unnamed (1)

If you need to send a scanned copy of your passport, a contract or a bank receipt and don’t have a scanner, Cam Scanner is the best solution to do all those adulting things. All you have to do is take a picture, it’ll make it look like a scan and you can send away.

Travel

11- Trivago

You can no longer sit back whilst other people deal with the logistical nightmares of traveling. It’s all on you. You need to download apps such as Trivago, Travel Start, Couch Surfer and Air BNB to take care of organizing your trip from A to Z.

Hope this article has helped you and that your phone now has less CandyCrush and Fruit Ninja and more Evernote and LinkedIn. You’re welcome ;).
