Sahel season is all about beach days, photo dumps, and pretending you didn’t burn on day one. But somewhere between the iced coffee runs and the sunset parties, certain things just give us the ick. They’re not deep, they’re not dramatic, they’re just off. Here are 4 Sahel-specific behaviors that make us cringe just a little.

The Guy Who’s Always Shirtless

He wakes up shirtless, eats breakfast shirtless, shows up to brunch shirtless, and definitely flexes mid-sentence pretending he didn’t rehearse it in the mirror. Yes, he should be proud of the efforts he put into working out but it doesn’t have to be that obvious.

The ā€œHow Much Did You Spend?ā€TikToks

You’re minding your business, living your life, and suddenly there’s a mic in your face and a guy asking how much your sunglasses cost. It’s always the same questions and the same reactions, and actually, no one’s having fun doing or watching this.

The Full Glam Look, for a Swim

She pulled up glowing, snatched, and ready for the camera, full beat, lashes, the whole thing. And honestly? Respect. But when the waves start crashing and the setting spray starts to lose the fight, it’s hard not to wonder how long the glam will last.

The One Who Wears Sunglasses at Night

We get it,  it’s a whole person, the mysterious, too-cool-for-this energy. It works in photos, it looks great on the feed, and honestly, we respect the commitment. But it’s already nighttime. The sun has set, and they’re still bumping into tables because they’re trying to keep the aesthetic.

We love Sahel, and we love the chaos, but let’s be real, it wouldn’t be summer without a few things that make us cringe. If you’ve done any of these, don’t worry. So have we.
