Just cause you have split-ends doesn’t mean you have to spend tons of money in beauty salons for treatments that, more often than not, don’t really work. Some people, myself included, like to play a little with some home ingredients. Home remedies, I believe, are the best; especially when it comes to hair!

1. Egg Shampoos

All you have to do is steep an ounce of rosemary in hot water for about 20 minutes then let it cool. You, then, beat an egg into it and voila! Massage the mixture into your hair then rinse, just as you would do with regular shampoo.

2. Castor Oil

This is also a pretty simple treatment. All you have to do is to mix castor oil, olive oil, and mustard oil (the quantity depends on the length and thickness of your hair). Once the mixture is ready, apply to your hair and cover it with a towel for about 30 minutes. You definitely would want to shampoo when you wash it out!

3. Cream Tonic

After applying shampoo and rinsing, you add a spoonful of heavy cream into half a cup of milk and massage through hair. Let the mixture set in your hair for about 15 minutes then rinse thoroughly.

4. Honey and Curd (Rayeb)

Add a tablespoon of honey to about half a cup of curd and stir well. Massage well into hair paying extra attention to the ends. As soon as you rinse it you will feel a gorgeous sheen in your hair!

5. Beer

Well, isn’t that a little old news? Why, not really! Beer is actually really good for your hair. Apart from it being use to give the hair a little summery blonde color, beer, being rich in proteins and vitamins, also contains nutrients for helping in development of healthy hair. Again, you simply massage it through the roots and ends of your hair and wait to see the results!

6. Avocado

Mash up an avocado and after damping you hair a little gently massage it from your scalp through the ends. Let it set from 15 to 30 minutes then rinse it out. Also a little tip: you can add a spoon of olive oil for extra sheen!

7. Coconut Oil

Use an extra virgin, organic coconut oil. Apply 2 tablespoons on dry hair before showering. Put some extra on the tips, leaving them to soak the nutrients coconut oil contains. Pin your hair up, get inย the shower, and leave your hair in the steam to intensify the oil’s effects. Then, after you wash your body and face, let your hair down and start shampooing and conditioning as normally as you would.
