The one thing I look forward to every time I leave my house is coming back home to my dogs. I can safely claim that they’re one of the best things about my life. Spending time with your dog(s) is greatly beneficial for your wellbeing and happiness. Here are some fun ideas to try out!
1- Going for a Walk/Run!
Exercise for two! Whether you prefer to walk or run, stretching your legs and getting out of the house is always fun. It’s healthy for both you and your companion. Take some time to discover new areas in your neighborhood and you might even bump into some other dog owners!
2- Swimming!
Dogs are good swimmers, and if your dog is adventurous, they might have already jumped into a pool or two. Playing together in the water can be quite refreshing and entertaining! Be careful of their shaking-out-water act later though!
3- Park/Friend’s Place!
Dogs need to be let off their leash every now and then and what better place to do that other than a dog park or even a friend’s backyard? Time for your best friend to meet other dogs, forge new friendships and have fun playing catch or tag! Fresh air is good for you too!
4- Beach Day!
Dogs need vacations too, running around on the beach and maybe even digging some holes in the sand! The sun and exposure can be a great treat for your dog! And you can tan, too. Win-win!
5- Grooming!
Downtime quality time with your dog done right. Giving them a bath, even though some dogs aren’t huge fans of water, can be pretty refreshing, especially during the scorching summer heat. Getting the tangles out of their fur can be pretty challenging, but dogs loves the sensation.
6- Road Trip!
Going on the road is an eyeopener, and taking your dog along with you is like doubling the fun! Not only do you get to visit new places, but you form new memories with your better half and they get to enjoy a nice breeze sticking their heads out the window!
7- Photoshoot!
Dogs are very photogenic. Throwing a nice background, snapping some unexpected pictures of your pet and catching their reactions can be like a smiley face on a rainy day.
8- Tricks!
Teaching your dogs new tricks can be pretty entertaining! Always give them a treat when they do something right to encourage them and get them motivated. Be patient with them and watch them master the arts!
9- Watch a Movie!
Just play a movie with a dog or a cat and watch them sit by the television and get fascinated by the action. Or you know, cuddle with them on the couch and have snacks for the both of you. Whatever floats your boat, but it’s going to be unforgettable either way.
Let’s just say…dogs are the best companions.
