We’re used to seeing our beloved actors excel in certain roles, like Helmy and his comedic ventures or Farrag and his terrifying personas. But what if we offered those actors different takes on their portrayals? How would their performances turn out?

Asmaa Galal – The Star-Crossed Lover

In her romantic ventures, Asmaa wins the heart of every character she falls in love with. But what if she faces a dilemma that challenges the relationship, like different social backgrounds or value systems? How would her portrayal take shape at this point?

Ahmed Malek – Ally Turned Betrayer

No matter how complex his characters are, one trait Malek’s characters all have in common is loyalty. He’s always there for his loved ones, no matter the odds. But what would happen if he betrayed his friends in a surprising twist? How much will the revelation shock us?

Yasmina El Abd – The Naïve Optimist

Yasmina’s as confident and resilient as her unbreakable characters, navigating through the most difficult situations with great ease. It’d be refreshing to see the innocent idealist trying to get through a world she least expects trouble from when danger lurks at every corner.

Asser Yassin – The Unrequited Lover

A heart-throb admired for his charismatic roles, it’s difficult to imagine a female lead resisting Asser’s charm. However, imagine if this was the case and he wasn’t getting lucky with his love interest. As ironic as it sounds, can you imagine how funny that scenario would be?

Mohamed Farrag – The Courageous Leader

Farrag portrayed lighthearted characters early in his career, but he’s since taken a liking to playing more treacherous roles. Although he presented a struggling single father more recently in Catalog, it’d be interesting to see him portray a heroic character moving forward, maybe a leader who puts his life at stake for a better cause.

Ahmed Helmy – Crime Villain

Is it true that when you cast a heartwarming comedian for a villainous role that he ends up becoming the perfect villain? In Helmy’s grounded human presence and subtle emotional control would make a villain feel disturbingly realistic and threatening.

Which actor do you think should pursue a different role?
