Edita’s Recent Initiative:

Edita Food Industries, founded in 1996 and based in Egypt, is a leader in the Egyptian packaged snacking food market. Edita Food Industries have launched an important humanitarian initiative to support the people of Gaza. Partnering with Misr El Kheir Foundation, it was launched in light of the recent reopening of the Egypt-Gaza border, allowing for timely assistance to those in need.

Edita produces a variety of branded baked snacks. These include croissants, cakes, rusks, wafers, biscuits, candies, and frozen bakery items. The company is associated with well-known local brands such Molto, HOHO’s, Twinkies, TODO, Bake Rolz, Bake Stix, Freska, Oniro, MiMiX and Molto Forni. Edita plans to contribute products worth EGP 5 million to aid the Gaza population as part of this program. This contribution aims to restore livelihoods and normalcy, promote hope, and offer vital food. 

Edita’s engagement to Gaza is a reflection of its long-term sustainability plan and commitment to social development with the goal of improving communities. Support for Gaza has always been a top priority for Edita, and this program reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of local people by empowering them and ensuring they have access essentials.

Eng. Ahmed Samy, the CEO of Edita Food Industries’ Snacking and Bakery Business Unit, emphasized the importance of solidarity with the people of Gaza by stating that this initiative aims to unite efforts and encourage other Egyptian companies to come together. He urged collaboration to enhance the impact and increase support for Gaza.

In response to this appeal, several companies, including Corona, Pasta Regina, Prisma Foods (owner of Raw Kettle Cooked Potatoes), Harvest (owner of Bawady & Harvest), Benefit (owner of V7 & V Super Soda), and The Arabian Food Industries Company Domty have joined the initiative. Their involvement strengthens the humanitarian effort and broadens the aid’s reach, ensuring that more people in Gaza receive essential support. This collaboration highlights how unity can lead to effective relief efforts.
