Since flight MS804 crashed in the Mediterranean with 66 people on board, water is not under the bridge yet and it seems that EgyptAir is still under the microscope.

EgyptAir receives calls claiming there are bombs on board more than it receives calls to book flights.

On Tuesday, 31st May, EgyptAir got a call stating that the flight preparing to take off from Cairo Airport to Bangkok, carrying 234 passengers, contained a bomb aboard, which forced them to evacuate the plane immediately. Explosive experts were called and the plane was searched for more than three hours; it turned out to be a hoax.

To add insult to injury, this morning another EgyptAir passenger plane heading to Beijing was forced to make an emergency landing in Uzbekistan due to a call claiming that a bomb was on board. No explosives were found, and it appeared it was just another prank call. Poor EgyptAir!

Let’s hope EgyptAir won’t get too bored of these calls, and the one time the call is actually reporting the truth, EgyptAir wouldn’t buy it!
