There’s something melancholic about remembering our childhood staples that don’t exist anymore. Maybe it’s an abandoned carnival you loved going to at an old mall, a coffee shop you and your friends like studying at, or even something as simple those handmade street signs we passed by in the backseat of our parents’ car.
There’s something alluring about the nostalgia those memories evoke. A lot of simple things made us excited before the internet ruled the world, like scratching the prepaid cards before recharging our phones, or acting like we’re on a very important business call in a random Menatel phone booth.
The accessories were something else, too. Remember when we were all convinced that wearing the Power Balance bracelets made us feel more energized? And let’s not get started with the weird shapes and sizes we enjoyed making and stretching endlessly with the Silly Bandz!
These things, no matter how simple or minor, brought great joy and excitement in so many ways, boosting our creativity and making our childhoods unforgettable.
