The Moamena Kamel Foundation, the community partner of Al Mokhtabar, a subsidiary of the healthcare powerhouse Integrated Diagnostics Holding (IDH), joins the Baheya Foundation to raise awareness and continue the support of women battling breast cancer.
As part of its ongoing commitment to women empowerment and health awareness and within the President’s National Campaign of “100 Million Healthy Lives”, the Moamena Kamel Foundation has provided financial and moral support to 250 breast cancer warriors.
The Foundation carried out a two-day activity that brought together warriors, volunteers, and IDH employees. The first day was dedicated to awareness sessions by Al Mokhtabar’sdoctors sharing the importance of testing and available services.

This was followed by sessions delivered to the Foundation’s volunteers who learned how to be involved in Baheya and provide emotional support through the Psychological Support Department.
The participants heard from Dr. Mohamed Emara, General Director of Baheya Hospital, and Ms. Sandy Adel, Director of the Psychological Support Department, inspiring stories from some of Baheya’s cancer champions and their journey.
During the second day, which took place at IDH headquarters, some of Baheya’s talented cancer champions displayed their handmade products and crafts in an exhibition, while female employees of IDH attended a seminar on self-testing and early detection. The exhibition saw significant interest from visitors, and the exhibitors were given the opportunity to share their experiences with others.
Dr. Moamena Kamel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mokhtabarand Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Moamena Kamel Foundation, stated: “Striving to improve public health and provide moral and material support in aims to provide women with decent and lasting health care is the simplest of things that we can offer to women who are considered the backbone of society and a driver to development.”

Dr. Moamena also explained: “Our continued role in supporting the Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer aligns with our foundation’s strategy as well as that of IDH in empowering Egyptian women bettering their social, economic, and health standard of living.
This initiative also seeks to enhance health awareness among the women of Baheya and IDH employees, highlighting the importance of early screening for breast cancer and stressing ways to prevent its metastasizing, subsequently increasing the chances of recovery.
In line with its mission of improving healthcare and empowering women, Al Mokhtabar, under the umbrella of the Moamena Kamel Foundation, will offer a discount on test packages and x-rays necessary for diagnosing breast cancer and testing tumour markers during October, in support of the community’s women.
Needless to say, the diagnostic tests will be performed through advanced laboratory equipment, which provides the opportunity to perform complex analysis such as genetic analysis, and also through the advanced pathology unit, which detects cancerous tissues.
