Ever notice this ominous feeling when you’re home alone? Your friends didn’t set any plans for the weekend, your family’s gone for a quick vacation, and you’re home alone with your phone and TV. But even though you’re physically home alone, you still feel there’s someone — or something — lingering around in the empty spaces of your home, watching you. Maybe it’s the footsteps you heard coming from that long and eerie hallway, a gentle knock on your bedroom door, or someone calling your name out of the blue. And the worst part? You’re alone; there’s literally no one but you.

But it’s not just when you’re awake. Have you ever woken up a few hours after midnight only to find yourself paralysed? You can’t move, you can barely utter a word, and it’s like you’re frozen on ice. You’re either listening to some pretty weird stuff, seeing something menacing standing right on top of your bedpost, or both!

Even when you’re out in public, something still feels off. You’re living a perfectly normal moment, and for some reason, you stop and question your surroundings after sensing a rather odd familiarity, like you’ve experienced this moment before. Like a déjà vu. And the worst part? There’s no way to prove it.

The most disturbing thing in all of these situations is that you’re not the only one who experiences these paranormal feelings. The idea that others feel it may seem calming for a second. But it’s not. It just confirms there’s a darker world around us that we can’t see, and that we’re definitely not alone.
