The phenomenon of wanting to get back together with someone you’ve previously dated will likely occur at least once in your life. 1. Your friends hated your ex

Your ex wasn’t the greatest person around, and your friends probably saw it before you did. If all the people around you didn’t really get along with him, do you really think you want to go back to that?

Love is a tricky feeling. You don’t really know when is the next time, if ever, you’ll fall in love again. But the thing is, if we aren’t honest with ourselves with the notion that you can fall out of love with someone, then we will never be open to falling in love again.

You recall the times you spent together and how happy you both were. But the truth is, you broke up for a reason. We tend to romanticize the past which is why we might not have been as happy as we made ourselves to be.

5. You’re second guessing your deal breakers

You will probably down play all the problems you two had together and make it seem like you were happier than you actually were. Things like the way he was mean to your friends or the way he didn’t appreciate you will not be on your mind. Memory is tricky like that, which is why you should play it safe and leave the past exactly where it belongs, in the past.
