Are you tired of how your child doesn’t fit in any sport because you don’t know what goes best with his/her character? Well each child has his/her own personality and you can’t change that, it’s just the way they are born. Most parents feel their children’s characteristics need to be adjusted by playing sports or being part of a team. Shy children need to learn how to be more outgoing and not be reliable on people. Confident children need to find something that would trigger their interest and through which they can achieve a set goal. As for outgoing children, well they fit perfectly in teams. Hyperactive children may be somewhat difficult to handle if it’s a solo sport, it would be more beneficial if they participate in a team. Being a tomboy is a phase most girls pass through when they’re still young kids which would be a perfect opportunity to encourage them to play a tougher male sport that would give them strength and power. Whatever your child’s personality is we have sports ideas that can interest them and hence make you happy that your child is enjoying what they are doing.

Confident children

Those can either play a team or solo sport which shows who they really are. Ballet for instance can show a girl’s confidence and elegance. Gymnastics requires physical strength, flexibility and coordination; a confident child can conquer all three techniques by choosing to practice either artistic or rhythmic gymnastics. Squash is a high speed racquet sport that can be played solo; it’s a very competitive sport that boosts your child’s ego.

Outgoing children

These children fit very well in team sports. Swimming is one of the world’s greatest water sports that requires a team who rely on each other to be able to win any competition. Basketball takes it to another new level because it’s a long timed sport that is played on a court and this helps children communicate and build their strength amongst their team mates.

Tomboy Girls

They just pass through this phase when they’re kids because they want to try rough boy things and it makes them very confident when they think they’re capable of playing boy sports. Football is very challenging, but it shows how far she can go by using her strength in a boy’s team by interacting with them on the pitch. If you want to tame her into more feminine sports you should put her into jazz dancing classes, ballet or water ballet.

Stubborn children

These children need to learn how to let loose and agree more with other’s opinions and choices. Track and field sports fit stubborn children perfectly because they include various competitive sports; their stubbornness helps them in reaching their goals in running, jumping and throwing.

Shy children

These types of children need to be more outgoing and so they might fit better in a sport that would make them feel good about themselves, like synchronized swimming and tennis. Synchronized swimming allows girls to get along because it’s based on team work and effort, the routines that they have to practice makes them rely on each other more. Tennis would turn a shy child into a confident one because they have to concentrate on their opponent to be able to win the game.

Unconfident children

These children should participate in a team sport to increase their self esteem. A sport like volley ball allows children to interact more with their team mates through communicating both physically and mentally when sharing the ball across the court. As for karate, it is more of a rough sport that helps your child become more confident through learning self defense techniques.

Hyperactive children

These children definitely need a sport that can keep them calm. Fencing is a combat sport using bladed weapons; it allows hyperactive children to concentrate more on hitting their opponent but it is played calmly. Water polo needs a lot of physical strength as it involves a lot of fetching and throwing the ball all around the pool, hyperactive children will get so worked up on it they’ll eventually become calmer.
