Some fan-favorite TV series, if not most of them, have those off moments that could change your opinion about the entire show. They don’t just weaken the plot, but they can actually drag the whole series down. Here are some storylines we think ruined (or almost ruined) some perfect TV series.
Friends – Rachel and Joey’s Romance
Rachel and Ross’s relationship acted as Friend’s emotional center. The creators nearly ruined it when they decided to pair Joey and Rachel together, nearly breaking up the group. Rachel and Ross were meant for each other from the get-go, and the show thankfully ended with their long-awaited reunion.
The Office – Pam and Jim’s Relationship
Pam and Jim’s relationship was one of The Office’s most heartwarming aspects, but it divided fans. Initially starting off as the adorable couple, they began developing more toxic traits as their relationship progressed. Nevertheless, they were meant to be together, and it’s great to see them finally married.
Game of Thrones – The Final Season
The final season’s biggest flaw wasn’t something specific, but everything about it was incredibly rushed. The pacing was too fast, the character developments felt off, and production issues were clearly visible in some scenes. GOT is a good example that a slow pace might sometimes work better to end the series on the same good note it started with.
HIMYM – Ted and Robin Dating Again
After Robin led him on and settled on marrying Barney, Ted finally found happiness when he married Tracey and built the future he wanted with her. Despite her importance, the show ended with Ted dating Robin again, ruining Tracey’s significance after building up her long-anticipated appearance.
Gilmore Girls – Rory Dating Logan
Of all the guys she dated, Rory choosing Logan as her future partner divided fans the most. Not only do they think they aren’t compatible with each other, but their values never matched to begin with. Logan also complicated things with better matches like Dean and Jess, likely making him the worst on Rory’s dating list.
