Ramadan 2020 ads

Every year we find ourselves looking forward to Ramadan for a lot of reasons. Spirituality, mosalsalat, family gatherings, you name it!

Of course, when we mention the things we really wait for, sometimes we forget to mention the ads. Even if we complain about how long the ad breaks are, we just can’t help it — we need those catchy jingles and we need to let out our repressed ads analyst.

So without further ado, here are the best Ramadan ads we’ve seen yet, for all your deep analysis and lyrical pleasure.

Vodafone

This year, like every year, Vodafone brought its A-game and A-listers, too! Instead of one big set, though, Vodafone has stressed on the importance of family and enjoying your time with your loved ones….even if it’s unconventional and usually through video-calls now.

Orange

Life has to go on at some point and when it goes on, we’ll realize how much we missed those simple, easy moments. That’s the message Orange, with Hussein Al-Jassmi’s voice, heavily focuses on throughout its ad. We’ll get there and when we do, we’ll know it’s worth it!

Zain

Knowing just how much we maybe affected by the current happenings of the world, Zain decided to make their ad this year a special, heartwarming message about how it will be good and well in the end, so long as we have each others’ backs.

We

Quarantining for us means one thing: an extra-amount of internet activity and a whole lot of time of family bonding. We decided to show us just how that one continuous, literal-house party goes and so brought us a catchy song that described the fun times in our own quarantine.

Banque Misr

Vying for the title of Catchiest Ramadan Ad for the third year in a row, Banque Misr pulled all the stops this year. With the usual El-Esseily flavoring, the jingle really killed this year with Bahaa Sultan’s verse and presence.
