The world woke up today to this shocking video just released of Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister) apparently attacking Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Gala. The video allegedly shows Beyonce, Jay Z, Solange and a body guard enter The Standard Hotel elevator and then shows a woman (who is alleged to be Solange) attacks the man in a white blazer (Jay Z) while the third woman just stands there and watches for a while before breaking up the two.
The body guards hold on to the attacking woman -who appears to be intoxicated- as she continues to yell and Jay Z and try to throw in some kicks too. As the woman calms down, the body guard stands between her and the couple as she continues talking and apprently berating them. The couple stand mostly in silence and Beyonce just stands there with her head down. As the elevator door opens, Solange goes for another fight. Beyonce stands in the middle, calms them down and motions Jay Z out of the elevator.
The standard hotel has released this statement which if anything shows that the video is in fact not fabricated but of real events – “We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests,” the hotel said in a statement obtained by E! News. “We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”
