Vince Camuto announces a celebration of its first store in Egypt on the 16th of June 2014 in Cairo Festival City Mall. “We are very excited about the opening in Egypt and looking forward to providing Egyptian fashionistas with our new collection,” rejoiced Mark France, General Manager, Retail Division, Al-Futtaim.

Vince Camuto is an American designer who is known for co-founding the women’s fashion brand Nine West. In 2005, he launched his namesake footwear line, Vince Camuto, under Camuto Group. Today, the sportswear and lifestyle brand offers 30 categories including dresses, handbags, jewelry, swimwear, fragrance and menswear.

The Vince Camuto collection of bags and shoes has anair of Arabian elegance, adding a lot to its meaning. The golden ring-to-wrist bracelets, along with many other precious accessory pieces lend a distinctly Middle Eastern touch to the design. “The collection brings three graphic and tactile trends to the new season. With sumptuous exotics, luxe leathers and shapely silhouettes, the transition 2014 collection reimagines classic pieces for a modern take on elevated luxury to the Egyptian fashion market.” says Vince Camuto.

In spring 2012, Vince Camuto launched VC Signature Vince Camuto, an effortlessly chic collection with a cool, sophisticated edge. For fall 2012, Two By Vince Camuto arrived with an elevated take on laid-back dressing. Louise et Cie, a cultivated accessories collection designed by Louise Camuto, made its debut in 2013. The Vince Camuto Men lifestyle brand was also introduced in fall 2013.

In 2005, Camuto Group also acquired the master license for the Jessica Simpson brand and built the line into a billion-dollar business. Camuto Group partnered with Tory Burch in 2006 to launch her footwear collection and collaborated with her to create the iconic “Reva” ballet flat. Camuto Group then announced key partnerships in 2008 with Sanctuary Clothing as well as signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Lucky Brand Jeans.

Camuto Group has partnered with the Council Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) as the first ever footwear Business Service Network (BSN) Corporate Affiliate Member in 2008, helping to mentor CFDA members and aiding them in the creation of strategic alliances with high profile businesses. Camuto was then inducted into the CFDA as a member in 2012. Vince Camuto is also the recipient of the 2012 ACE “Visionary” Award. In 2013, he won the prestigious Footwear News Lifetime Achievement Award.

Vince Camuto is an avid believer in philanthropy, concentrating his efforts on charities that benefit children and families, including Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Leukemia Society of America and The Domestic Abuse Awareness Foundation. Additionally, he supports breast cancer research through FFANY Shoes on Sale and serves on the board of Wish-And-A-Smile.

 

Camuto has five children and lives in Connecticut in the United States.
