Women are capable of doing everything they set their minds to, the only problem is sometimes we don’t know the weight of our own strengths. Even worse is, sometimes we let ourselves be discouraged whether it’s by society or even by our own fears and insecurities!

But you know what? With the right people and brands on our side, our dreams become more achievable than ever and that’s why we’re glad to say that Vodafone is one of them. And with the brand’s campaign for International Women’s Day, there’s no denying that!

Because it’s the ultimate advocate to the women of Egypt, Vodafone released an ad that not only supported women, but started that support at the root with girls. Specifically, one girl—Mecca Salah, who starts Vodafone’s inspirational ad by asking her father, the one and only Mohamed Salah, if she can actually achieve all that she wants or not.

To that question, Mohamed Salah answers with a monologue of quotes that eliminate his daughter’s doubts and any insecurities as he tells her that she shouldn’t limit her scope of thinking and keep working hard to defy society’s stereotypical expectations to achieve everything she sets her mind to.

These aren’t just words or fancy slogans. As Mohamed Salah speaks and sets the perfect example for men to follow, especially when they’re fathers to special young girls, he highlights that communication with the younger generations is important to cultivate their morals properly.

As that happens, the ad shows us all the strong, inspiring Egyptian women who broke the bounds of society and achieved their dreams in fields ranging from sports to arts to fashion to science, like world tennis champion Mayar Sherif, to globally-acclaimed opera singer Farah El-Debany, to global fashion entrepreneurs Aya and Mounaz, and acclaimed scientific researcher Elham Fadaly.

Championing female entrepreneurs just like these great women, Vodafone is launching its platform #منصة_فكرتك, the biggest platform for empowering women in Egypt in collaboration with the National Council for Women and UN Women.

Set on targeting women with entrepreneurial minds, this platform is all about helping these women by providing them with opportunity and sufficient support to turn their ideas into reality.

With this platform, all Egyptian women with powerful ideas will have a place to turn to that will help them every step of the way, fulfilling Vodafone’s ultimate mission of being there for women as they fearlessly achieve their dreams.

What a way to celebrate International Women’s Day!
