I’m the kind of person who believes that you have to treat yourself every once in a while. Life is tough. If you grind yourself at work, you’re going to be physically and emotionally drained. Which is why you need to give yourself a little “ME” time. Because you’re a pretty awesome person! And pretty awesome people have got to recharge (they can’t be awesome 24/7)! You have to spoil yourself to reboot your system! So here are a few things you can do to treat yourself:

Shopping is a form of therapy. When we buy something for ourselves, we feel good. Maybe there’s a top you really like and never got a chance to buy. Or some shoes you feel would go great with the dress you have. Whatever the reason, shopping will help you relax after a tiresome day.

We lead a very fast-paced life, and showers are just a quicker way to clean and refresh ourselves. But why not draw a nice warm bath and light some candles? Having a nice soak in a bubble bath is a great way to destress and get some “me” time.

So, a lot of people make you feel like going to a restaurant alone isn’t cool. But sometimes your friends aren’t willing to try that new Italian place you’ve been wanting to go to for weeks! But when there’s a will, there’s a way. If you really want to go eat somewhere, there’s nothing wrong with going there alone. Have a date with yourself. And if you’re worried about the silence while waiting for your food, grab a book and read it while you wait.

If you’ve got money to spare and want to really spoil yourself, have a spa day. Get a nice mani-pedi on or maybe have a massage. It’s a sure way to get yourself rejuvenated and recharged.

This is another thing worth doing; find the time to go to the beach on a whim. Whether you trek all the way to Alex, Sahel or Sokhna, taking yourself out of the hustle and bustle of the city is the best way to spoil your stressed self.
