“Egypt is not safe”, “Tourists should avoid Egypt”, “If you want to get yourself killed, visit Egypt” … With each explosion that blasted in our country, these were the headlines on the front pages of the international press.
Yes, they might have been stating facts but they didn’t take into account how their terrifying statements may be scaring tourists away. Ironically, these very same countries witnessed some explosions of their own which weren’t particularly fireworks!
1. Paris: The City Of Love
During 2015, several acts of terrorism shook the City of Love, starting with the attack on Charlie Hebdo, then a series of attacks by gunmen and suicide bombers on cafes, a rock concert and a stadium.
2. Brussels: The Capital of Europe
Yesterday, three explosions took place at Brussels airport and at a downtown metro stop due to a suicide attack. FYI: Brussels is the Capital of Europe!
3. Istanbul: The City Of dream
Thirty seven people got killed in a suicide bomb attack in a central neighborhood in Ankara early this month, while a few days ago, at least five others were killed and 36 wounded by another suicide bomber in central Istanbul’s Taksim Square area.
4. Amsterdam: The City of Freedom
Yesterday, police gunshots were fired in a railway station in Amsterdam while chasing three suspects.
5. London: The City of Fog
A London double-decker exploded while crossing Lambeth Bridge last February … in a Hollywood movie starring Jackie Chan. Well, this time it was only a movie, who knows if next time msh 7ate2leb gad?
