If there’s one thing I learnt in the past year, it’s that no one probably knows you or can deal with you likeย your best friends. No matter how horrible it gets, they’ll manage to stick around. You should definitely consider planning a trip with them. It can turn out to be one of the best experiences of your life!
1- You’ll never get bored
There’s a reason they’re your best friends and that’s because you guys find it, for some reason, fun to be around each other for a long time without getting frustrated. When you’re travelling and spending a week or 10 days with someone, you should make sure you enjoy their company. And who fills that job better than your best friends? They’ll always be there to create funny comments, get serious when you want to and maybe even reminisce about old memories that you guys have shared together. It’ll never get boring!
2-ย They’ll becomeย family
Although you’ve grown up together, or think you know each other more than anyone else, nothing’s like living with someone 24/7. That’s when you’ll know who they truly are! It’ll give you guys a chance to create an even stronger bond. After a few days, they’ll feel like family.
3- You get a chance to do crazyย stuff you wouldn’t have been able to do otherwiseย
You know that thing you’ve been secretly wanting to do for a while, but never got a chance to? I mean, travelling with the familyย is great and all, but travelling with your best friends gives you the opportunity to do ALL the crazy stuff you’ve secretly been wanting to do. You can’t really go too crazy when you’re alone either. When you’ve got people you trust your life with, you’ll allow yourself to get as crazy and as wild as you want! And they’ll definitely want to do these cray-cray things with you.
4- They probably like the same things as you, so it’ll be fun
From the minuteย you guys decide you’re travelling together, everything is fun. The planning is fun; the whole process is fun. What’s also great is that since you’re all probably around the same age, and with similar-ish interests, you’ll be happy to do the same things. Sometimes, it gets boring with the family because dad wants to visit more museums and mom wants to do moreย shopping, when all youย want to do is just walk around the streets andย eat. With your best friends, you’ll probably agree on most things! Sightseeing, shopping, eating, partying. They’ll probably want the same things as you.
5- They’ll help you budgetย
You won’t be the only one with financial constraints! You’ll probably all be trying to budget, and it won’t be embarrassing to say it out loud. Group tickets are always cheaper, and everything gets split. Transport/accommodation/museums areย automatically cheaper too.
6- You’ll come out with the greatest pictures and memories
You’ll come out with a few of the greatest pictures and memories. They’ll be happy to take pictures of you, because they probably want you to take as many pictures ofย them too. It won’t be like your dad urging you to get it overย with. And at the end of it all, you’ll look back at them and realise how great of a trip it was. From all the crazy things you’ll have done together to all the weird conversations you’ll have had, it’ll be one the best experiences of your life.
