A healthy relationship is what we all striveĀ for. We all recogniseĀ the do’s of a relationship, but the don’ts seem to be pretty hard to figure out. Here is a simple guide to things you shouldn’t do to stayĀ in a happyĀ relationship:

1- A,B,C: Cheating, lying, and disrespect

These are the A,B,C’s of any relationship don’ts. If you’re doing any of them, you might as well leave the person you’re withĀ and stop hurting them.

2- Keep it Private

Talking aboutĀ your problems toĀ anyone other thanĀ your partner won’t get you anywhere. The advice you get won’t really help much, sinceĀ people are unique and react to things differently. Talk it out with your partner ONLY.

3- Don’t Compromise

Matgeesh 3ala nafsal for another person, you lose your identity along the way. Common grounds can be reachedĀ without losing parts of who you are.

4- Stay IndependentĀ

Being in a relationship doesn’t mean you have to depend on your partner for everything. Your partner is only there to accompany you on your journey of life, not to pay your bills orĀ become your driver.

5- Comparison

Never compare your partner to an ex lover or someone else’s partner. You and your partner are two of a kind in your own way; embrace your uniqueness.

6- Don’t Hold Grudges

If a problem arises, talk it out on the spot. Holding a grudge will lead to unnecessaryĀ argumentsĀ that you won’t even remember why they started in the first place.

7- Don’t Keep Giving Excuses

A chance isn’t given unless the other person is pleading for one. Giving excuses won’t stop your partner from repeating the same mistake over and over again.

And as Carl Jung wrote “The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” Let it be a successful transformation, and don’t blow yourself up.
