For the fourth year running, Banque Misr gave us a vivid Ramadan ad that simply motivated us to no end with its inspiring visuals and its catchy jingle. But that’s not the only reason this ad easily stole our hearts. As we know, Banque Misr’s ads are a continuous source of motivation and inspiration through reflecting their resilience, hope, enthusiasm, friendly tone, entertaining and cheerful scenes. In fact, we’re sharing all our reasons why we loved the ad here with you!

The Mystery

Banque Misr’s ad had us all curious from the get-go because it had a sense of mystery “teaser advertising”. With its billboards with the words ‘Ana El-Momken – I’m the possible’, Banque Misr’s colors, and half of BM’s logo, the campaign made us wonder just what the purpose for all this was and its teaser made us want to know more.

And that’s exactly what made us infinitely excited for Banque Misr’s Ramadan ad when it was released.

The Visual Effects

Look, we can’t get around this. And we don’t want to because the visual effects are one of our favorite parts in the ad. With little drawings of things like medals or a flying carpet or a wise quote, the effects simply enhanced the pretty powerful images Banque Misr’s ad was showing us.

And the best thing about it was the use of the effects to show us just how far our ambitions can reach and what we can set our minds to, which was clearly visible through one of the girls having an astronaut’s helmet and one of the boys being drawn as a navy captain to confirm that they can achieve their goals and dreams as long as they believe in them in addition to the ambitious of the other kids were lying on the grass (to be a doctor, director, football player Etc.).

It was also clearly seen through the group of girls staying true to themselves and not backing down for any kind of bullying, the old couple eating together on the “flying carpet”, and the boys swimming in the van after preparing it with the available possibilities to be just like a swimming pool indicating that everyone can achieve his dreams and be happy through his flexibility and his persistence to achieve what he believes in and aspire to -capitalizing on the idea of sticking to your goals and being flexible with your methods-.

Empowering The Young and Old and Everyone in Between

The very first shot of Banque Misr’s ad is a message and we love it. In it, a woman is walking before her heel breaks and what does she do? She makes both her soles even and carries on her way just because she can overcome the difficulties she encounters, as everyone is oriented with remarkable problem-solving capabilities inside them. The message was clear in this shot that resilience to challenges and setbacks that all of us are facing is the key for us to proceed and not to be defeated by the challenges.

While Banque Misr’s ad makes sure to showcase women and what they’re capable of, it doesn’t just focus on women alone. It shows us parents and how they support their kids, as seen in the young man and his old yet strong mother.

The ad also gives a great deal of focus on young people achieving everything they set their minds to, which we saw with the young women playing football and the young men bravely catching waves in the sea. We even see the kids get their own inspiring message, which is that they have gifts and talents and they can achieve their simple dream with their simple possibilities!

Representation for People with Disabilities

We just had to say it—perhaps one of our absolute favorite parts about Banque Misr’s Ramadan ad is that it makes sure to include absolutely everyone and each category. And we see that, too, in one shot where a group of visually impaired women expertly playing music together and another where a TV presenter with Down Syndrome is excelling at her job.

And it’s all under one slogan, the one that translates to “I am Possible” because nothing is far or out of reach when you are persistent and always aiming for the sky.

The Song

Speaking of the slogan, we cannot sing the ad’s praises without getting into why the accompanying track was wonderful for the right reason. It showed us all that there’s no reason to ever doubt ourselves or our abilities because, like the song said, we can do anything we set our minds to.

The song highlights this while also highlighting the importance of being flexible and understanding and trying your hardest to make it, whatever the circumstances life may throw at you, as life is like the ocean. Waves will try to knock you down and push you back to where you started but once you learn to be flexible and bend through them, the entire ocean is yours.

The Singers

Of course, the hit song became exactly the way it sounded to us through more than just the ad’s strong visuals. they are the singers who make the song after all and with Mahmoud El-Esseily, Medhat Saleh, and Diab all coming together to share their strong vocals, it’s no wonder the song turned out this good.

It’s also important to note that Banque Misr didn’t just have one successful and great Ramadan ad

With a series of funny, slice-of-life ads, Banque Misr also took the time to tell us all about its digital products, BM Online and BM Express and BM Wallet, which are Banque Misr’s way of being available for their clients anywhere and at any time. The products are set on making your banking experience a lot faster, easier, and safer without the stereotypical hassles people usually face, which is emphasized by the ads’ slogan—“ المشاوير تمنها غالي”
