Many guys probably think that girls who wear make-up are “making false advertisement”, “lying” or even “trying to trick you”. Along these lines also comes the second most common thing they say “You look better without make-up”. Let me speak on behalf of every girl and tell you that we’re not trying to trick you and we are definitely not trying to make any sort of advertisement. We solely do it because we love to make art. Even on our faces. Here are some reasons why you should appreciate our “facial-paintings”:
1- She spent time on it
Now see, that’s just rude. She does not spend 30-60 minutes a day matching her winged eyeliner for you to tell her she looks better without it.
2- She invested money in it
It ain’t cheap.
3- It takes an hour and 5 YouTube tutorials to learn a new technique
You might as well call her da Vinci if she can contour perfectly because that s*** requires talent.
4- She had fun doing it
I can’t explain to you the joy of having your make-up on point. Complimenting her skills will absolutely make her day even if she feels like she messed up.
5- It makes her feel good
I think this alone is a good enough reason not to tell her she looks better without it. If it boosts her self-esteem, then you should endorse it.
I truly believe that some guys are being honest when they tell their girlfriends that they look better without make-up; it might be true too. But if it’s something she likes to do and makes her feel better, then you should encourage itย and not make her feel bad for wearing it.
Unless of course she’s overdoing it then you should probably say something…
