Though there are many seasons in a year, Ramadan has its own special feel to it. Warmth, spirituality, wholesomeness, and other things prevail in Ramadan -which usually feels like a restart or a pause button in life. It’s known to be soul-cleansing, and we couldn’t agree more. But the best thing about Ramadan as a season is that it has a uniquely beautiful meaning for every specific individual. Here are five things we look forward to every year on the first day of Ramadan. Ramadan Kareem everyone!

Ramadan lantern and decoration:
Something about polishing up our belongings, workplaces, houses, and even streets. The one and only “Fanous” comes in many different shapes, colors, and coolness! The excitement of putting up our Ramadan decorations has us looking forward to live the experience all over again.

First day’s gathering:
Though it’s a lot of work -especially with the food preparations, family gatherings on the first day of Ramadan are true blessings. The wholesome feeling of getting together to spend a special day in each other’s presence is unmatched!

The first episodes of our anticipated shows:
Ever since we were kids, we used to claim the Ramadan series and wait for them eagerly. Then we turn into drama critics and keep judging them from the first episode, which was fun back at the time, and kind of still is! Nothing matched the feeling of watching a series you awaited and then getting starstruck or disappointed!

Ramadan ads:
Ads’ jingles have been our memories, memes, and anthems for so long. The adrenaline rush we get when a new Ramadan ad drops is a thrilling feeling that lasts all season. The curiosity and anticipation we have for certain brands to impress us every season is something to look forward to annually!

Opening theme songs:
Some opening theme songs for the Ramadan series have moved from the category of being mere songs to being artistic legacies. They’re engraved in our minds and won’t come out anytime soon. Some songs become memes or become our life anthem, and some are too relatable or fun that they never leave our on-repeat playlists even long after Ramadan.

What do you look forward to the most on the first day of Ramadan?
