Putting in double the effort is never easy in any profession, but in the entertainment industry, the challenges go beyond this. Massive pressure falls on all artists to showcase their skills and talents in multiple shows airing in the same season; here are five talented actors who handled this challenge and mastered more than one role in this year’s Ramadan marathon.

Ahmed Zaher

The one thing common between Salah in ‘Ne3ma El Avocato’ and Hossam in ‘Mohareb’ is definitely their greediness for money. Ahmed Zaher proved that it’s possible to play two villainous roles with distinct characteristics and motivations in one season, and engage the audience with each character.

Gihan El Shamashergy

Gihan didn’t just succeed in playing two different roles during Ramadan, but she also skillfully guided the audience first by immersing us in the modern world of Injy and her surroundings in ‘Kamel El Adad+1’, before transporting us in the second half of Ramadan to the fantastical realm of Gawdar and his beloved Sherouk in a brilliant way.

Entesar

Whether it’s Hamdeya in ‘A3la Nesbet Moshahda’ or Fooz in ‘El Me3alem’, Entesar wasn’t competing with anyone but herself. Portraying the naive, poor character in one series and then switching to a drug dealer in the other show, not to mention the iconic Om Sabrine in ‘Ashgal Shaqa’, deserves all the appreciation and hype.

Sedky Sakhr

Sedky took us on a rollercoaster ride between Kareem in ‘Kamel El Adad+1’, Hamed in ‘Lunch Box’, and Dr. Ibrahim in ‘Farawla’. These three characters were flawlessly played, positioning Sedky among the top artists who seamlessly color between multiple characters this Ramadan.

Donia Maher

Ghada in ‘Khaled Nour We Walado Nour Khaled’ is the polar opposite of Samah in ‘Cobra’. Donia’s ability to present both the oppressed individual burdened with responsibility and the naive, emotionally driven character showcases her brilliance and talent.
