We haven’t seen that much of the new Ella Ana story but we’ve seen enough to know that it’s a heart-wrenching reality that is sure to touch whoever watches it.
The story is part of the Ella Ana multiple story series’s second season. This story titled, Beit Ezz, talks about a woman who passes away because of an illness and leaves her husband and daughter behind.
If you’ve seen the only two episodes that came out so far, you’ll get a taste of how hurtful the events that took place are. The series will leave you feeling extremely empathetic for the daughter and the husband.
It sure left us feeling grateful for what our parents do for us from small everyday details to their entire presence. This is partly why we think the series is going to be great, but there’s a lot more to it than that! Here’s what we’re loving about the series!
The Message
As sad as the storyline sounds, it leaves room for hope. That someone’s passing doesn’t have to mean they’re gone from your life all together. This is why they’re making the memory of the mother live on with the daughter and the husband.
They didn’t just take her out of the series and leave us crying for her loss. Yes, tears were shed but the story didn’t end there, it just started.
The message behind the series is that the story had to keep going, and that’s what made us feel hopeful despite everything that was happening.
The Highlighted Theme
Fatherhood is one theme that was of clear significance in this storyline. Understanding what a father means to his daughter is an essential part of our lives.
It’s a reality that is often overlooked because of the mother’s role in her daughter’s life. What we don’t realize is that it doesn’t have to be one parent or the other. And this is what this series aims at achieving.
What it does is build the connection between both parental relationships and highlights the importance of the father’s role to everyone who isn’t seeing it already.
Since this father is forced to look after his daughter who has no one to do that anymore, the significance of his role in her life starts to shine. And that’s exactly why this Ella Ana story made us fall deeply in love with it.
This series changed the perception of the father from an unnoticed provider to an essential caregiver, which should be the reality everyone believes in.
The Performance
Being the extremely sentimental story that it is, Beit Ezz has chosen the perfect actor and actress for the father-daughter on screen chemistry. They definitely made us feel it.
The relationship between Sahar El Saigh and Rushdi Al Shami showed us plenty of stunning acting skills. The father and daughter characters went through everything together in just a couple episodes and took us on a whirlwind of emotions.
The two were happy together, they mourned alongside each other, learned to help one another get on with their life and made it through all the way from rock bottom together.
Sahar and Rushdi made us experience all those emotions to the fullest and that’s why we absolutely loved their performance!
