Ramadan Rising Stars

Yes, it’s this time of year again. You knew it was coming and, honestly? So did we. And with Ramadan giving us a steady stream of talented rising stars, could we just not notice them? This year’s stars come with a variety of roles, a ton of charisma, and future hopes.

And if you’re dying to see who made this list, just check it out!

Abdelrahman El-Qaliouby

You might have seen him in last year’s El-Fetowa or managed to catch him in El-Ekhteyar’s first season, but one thing’s for sure — you definitely know Abdelrahman El-Qaliouby from Melook El-Gad3ana because this rising star, playing Saria’s brother Saeed, definitely stole the show with his comedic timing and his incredibly odd…’relationship’ with Om Basant!

Jala Hesham

Whether you love her or (more probably) on-screen hate her, Jala Hesham is one of this year’s fresh faces that stuck with us through hordes of stars. With her Ramadan roles including Noha in Naguib Zaky Zarkash, a role in Moussa, and of course, the notorious Yasmine from Khaly Balak min Zizi, it’s safe to say she’s made her mark.

Adam El-Sharkawy

In the early days of Ramadan, everyone was doing the most to figure out who the guy playing Big Zee on Le3bet Newton is…and that is, obviously, none other than Adam El-Sharkawy! With the big impact that he left with his role, we won’t be mistaken to say we have a new star on the map.

Osama El-Hady

Although you may recognize him more as a singer, Osama El-Hady has taken to the acting world and gave us all the role of Shamba from Le3bet Newton. And you know what? We want to see more of that.

Moataz Hesham

Tell us, are you surprised? Because with Moataz Hesham’s performances as Abdallah in El-Qahera Kabul and Yasser in Welad Nas, we’re really not. See, this rising star will continue to give his all for his roles and we honestly cannot wait.

Rana Raes

This Ramadan, Rana Raes took on the roles of Nancy in Naguib Zaky Zarkash and Shahd in Del Ragel and gave the two wholly different roles her all. And because of that, we just can’t wait to see what she takes on next.

Hassan Malek

Steadily climbing up the ranks, Hassan Malek took on a different role by playing Serag, a failing student that later befriends Hesham Assal, in Khaly Balak Min Zizi. And you know what? He surprised all of us along the way!

The Entire Young Cast of Welad Nas

Look, we just can’t pretend like we don’t notice this…because Welad Nas’s young cast absolutely did their best, channeling all kinds of emotions from trauma following the infamous bus accident to customary teenage mixed feelings. And for that alone, we just predict that these rising stars are the future of their industry.

Which of these rising stars was your favorite?
