Alexandria

It seems that Alexandria’s getting overlooked in Egypt in favor of Sahel, but the city still has some of the best views of the Mediterranean Sea. These are some restaurants to enjoy your food alongside amazing views of the waterfront and city skyline:

#1 White and Blue Restaurant at the Greek Club

Alexandria

This restaurant at the Greek Club serves Greek food with amazing views of the harbor. It includes the famous view of parked sailing and fishing boats. The best time is lunch or dinner to enjoy the sea breeze at outdoor tables. Be sure to go at sunset time to catch a stunning dusk view of Alexandria, or nighttime to see the bright-light Corniche come alive. The seafood and Greek salads are excellent; make sure to try out the octopus appetizer! A worthy tip is to avoid shrimps since they’re not always fresh.

Third Floor at Qaitbay Street, Alexandria. Menu here.

#2 Byblos Restaurant

Alexandria

Byblos is a Lebanese restaurant at the luxurious Four Seasons San Stefano. There are other restaurants to choose from at the hotel but this one has an amazing view of the Mediterranean. The delicious Lebanese cuisine is also a good break from seafood. More pricey than other options but an elegant dining experience. Go for mixed grill, mezzes, and fattah.

Four Seasons San Stefano, El Geish Road, San Stefano, Alexandria.

#3 Fish Market

Alexandria

At the Fish Market, you’ll eat some of the best seafood in Alexandria. The view is exceptional since you can see the Qaitbay Citadel from your table. The seafood is great and the butterfly shrimps and calamaris are highly recommended.
El Korneish/Geish Road, 26 July Next to Sea Scouts Club, Alexandria. Menu here

#4 Blue Harbor Roof Restaurant & Café

Alexandria

Blue Harbor Roof Terrace is located in the Paradise Inn – Windsor Palace Hotel on Alexandria’s Corniche. The food is pretty standard but the views are really great and give a better panoramic view than other restaurants. Go for breakfast, coffee or other drinks rather than lunch and enjoy the fresh air and rooftop vibes.

17 El Shohada Street, El Geish Road, Alexandria.

#5 Zephere Restaurant

Another great seaside restaurant that serves one of the best seafood meals in Alexandria. The shrimps, calamari and sol are good here. It is further away from the downtown area so it has a quieter outdoor setting but can get crowded during the weekends.

29 Al Kornish, Al Max, Qesm Al Dekhilah, Alexandria. Menu here.

#6 Seagull

Also near Zephere, this seafood restaurant is more spacious in outdoor seating. The food is delicious across the board, from fish to shrimp to soups. Go in the afternoon or sunset time. Seagull is closer to the shore than the other restaurants so you can really enjoy the sea breeze and fresh air.

Al Kornish, Al Max, Qesm Al Dekhilah, Alexandria.

Check these restaurants out on your next trip to Alexandria, and don’t miss out on the Mediterranean experience!
