We’re just about to set foot in the year 2016. While the buzz from how 2015 was filled to the brim with events is still ringing in our ears, we can’t help but wonder whether 2016 will be better or worse than 2015? We tend to favor the past because it’s familiar and known, but that shouldn’t be the case for this brand new year.
Below Are 5 Reasons Why 2016 Will Make 2015 Bite The Dust:
1- 2016 got The FUNNIEST Calendar Of All Time
This year is 366 days long, not 365 like regular years. It’s a leap year, meaning it has an additional day in the month of February making it 29 instead of 28 days. This only occurs every 4 years. Well folks, an extra day means extra pay in our pockets. Hurrah!
We can all agree that if Monday had a face, we would have all punched it! But 2016’s Mondays had ganged up to play some magic and prove they are not that boring:

12/12/2016 is a Monday
To add to the fun, the days, the dates and even the holidays of 2016 are the same as 1994. Who said you can’t get back what you lost 22 years ago?
2. The Blockbusters Are Coming
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse, Trazan, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,…. How high can you count?
And that’s without mentioning our national entertainment scene, which also set the bar high with the awaited two movies “Torab El Mas” starring Ahmed Helmy and Mahmoud Abd El Aziz, and “Hibta” whose creators are making us on the edge of our seats by announcing the casts’ names in an exciting way and at a leisurely pace.
As if this wasn’t enough, to combine both the international and the Egyptian entertainment scene, the blockbuster “Gods of Egypt” also comes out February 26th.

3- The 2016 Summer Olympics
The major international multi-sport event is back and will take place in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil from 5 to 21 August 2016; that’s why it’s commonly known as Rio 2016. Egyptian athletes have so far achieved qualifying standards in variance events like boxing, rowing, shooting..etc (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event.) Way to go Egypt!
4- Live The Game With PlayStation VR
What’s more exhilarating than living the game instead of just playing it? Nothing can get close to that. PlayStation VR headset is a device that will truly bring gaming into the next generation; it’s Sony’s first raid into mainstream virtual reality. Without question, this is one of the biggest things to happen to the PS4. The best part is that we will be able to get our hands on PS VR so soon!
And one more happy news for video gamers: Super Mario is coming back!!!
5- Ice Age & Scooby Doo In Egypt
Twentieth Century Fox will make all of our deepest wishes come true; an Ice Age live entertainment event will be performed here in Egypt on February 3rd. I can’t believe Sid is coming!!!
Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Velma and Daphne will pack their bags and head to Egypt to puzzle out the Mystery Of The Pyramid in a live theatrical show for the first time in the Middle East on March 3rd.
Let’s just slam the door behind 2015 and throw the key as farther away as we possibly can.
