Sia said “I don’t need no money as long as I can feel the beat”. Well, with all due respect to Sia, we strongly disagree. We’re in desperate need for money to go out, shop, buy food and pretty much do everything. But life is not always fair like that, we sometimes go broke and the timing is usually on point too. Identity’s here to save the day; here’s how to avoid being broke in summer:

1- Stop Impulsive Shopping

We get it. Summer’s all about sales and shopping, but less shopping means more savings. Only buy the necessary and crucial items and stop worrying about sales season being over; sales offers never end.

2- Stop Buying Junk Food

The amount of money spent on junk food during summer is too damn much. Seriously, with all the money unjustifiably wasted on junk food, you could actually use it to go out to the movies or hang out with your friends. If you want to be rich and healthy at the same time, enough with the junk food.

3- Get Rid of Useless Items

“One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.” Having said that, you should consider selling your junk online or even in a yard sale and make a fortune. it’s a fast and easy way to make money.

4- Work a Temporary Job

Want to earn some seasonal cash? Get a summer job. Opportunities are available from call centers, in teaching, ushering and many more. Sure it requires a lot of effort, but the money is well worth it. Work hard and play even harder.

5- Prioritize Your Spending

As mentioned earlier, only buy the most crucial and important stuff. Make a list of the most necessary items you need to buy. That way, you won’t feel bad about your spending habits and you won’t go broke.
