We are 21 episodes in of another Ramez Galal Prank show that is as predictable as the sunset. Ramez came back with a new Edition of “Ramez Gab Mel Akher”, where he sets two celebrities up for a surprise encounter, whether the celebrities are on good terms or not.
While the idea may sound like a good one theoretically, making amends between two people or confronting them with any past row, was still horribly and viciously executed once again.
For the majority of the episodes, we were left with secondhand embarrassment and frustration, and felt like we wanted to reach through the screens to help out the guests. Ramez never fails to use inappropriate language towards his guests, violence against them with a paintball gun that requires wearing a special protective gear, and mistreatment of animals on set.
While we understand that the show could be scripted to an extent and the guests can end up taking it as a joke in the end, there were situations where some of the guests were infuriated and walked off in anger. Other guests were hurt and spoke up about their injuries.
We may have spoken about Ramez and his juvenile behavior in the past, but this year his pranks are crossing the border of sadism where his degrading words and body shaming have sparked outrage. Not to mention his stirring drama, and awkward moments during the so-called punishments.
Just when we thought, it’d be different this year, it was disappointment after disappointment in each episode.
