Egypt officially came second in the rankings of the wealthiest countries in Africa in The AfrAsia Bank Africa Wealth Report 2018.

Combining properties, possessions, and the total private wealth of Egyptian individuals from real estates, companies stocks and shares; Egypt came second in the whole continent of Africa with a total wealth of $330 billion!

South Africa allegedly came first with a total wealth of $722 billion. In a related context, Cairo officially came third in the total wealth rankings of African cities with $140 billion; while Johannesburg topped the cities list with $276 billion. The report also classifies the country as the sixth wealthiest in per capita income, with a total of 3900$.

Additionally, the same report ranked Egypt as the 17th country with the most wealth growth trends, as they measure the rise in the country’s total wealth from the year 2007 to 2017.

It’s worth mentioning that Egypt is home to six of the world’s billionaires with a combined wealth of $18.2 billion!
