The fashion event was under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi of Sharjah –

 

The first ever and most prestigious fashion event in the Middle East region, The Royal Gala was kicked off last April 8, 2017 at a glittering evening at the Palazzo Versace Dubai under the patronage of H.E Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi. The event was illuminated by the presence of royalties from UAE and other countries, dignitaries, VIPs from the fashion industry, fashion aficionados, fashion buyers, fashion media and brand partners.

 

Commenting about the most prestigious fashion event in the region, HRH Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi said, “Bringing a prestigious platform for designers to showcase their collection in the region is the main goal of The Royal Gala. I am thrilled of the overwhelming responses we have received from several designers from all over the globe which truly inspires me and the whole team to make this event an annual tradition”

 

“The Royal Gala aims to retain its position as the most prestigious fashion event in the region by maintaining the quality of people attending the event; from Sheikhas, royal family members, VIPs, top calibre fashion media and critics and fashion buyers. Next year, we hope that more international designers will be part of this event”, added HRH Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi.

 

The Royal Gala kicked off showcasing the collection of Aiza Dzhabrailova of ASET who added a touch of ‘Arabian Nights’ to her exquisite embroidery and sharp silhouettes that dazzled with detail.

Iranian designer, Nakisa, hit the runway next with a style and vision that floored the crowd based on Baroque inspiration recreating a nostalgic 16th century feel.

 

Sheikha Hend’s collection from House of Hend encompassed Eastern and Western cultures, creating global silhouettes,

 

while Rodery Jewelry presented their precious gems during her show.

 

Sara Mohamed, of Palais Des Argano, showcased a collection inspired by Moroccan Kaftans proving royalty was the theme of the night through colors, details and deluxe designs.

 

Amato‘s couture SS’17 collection delivered true avant-garde style portraying dreamy designs brought to life through vivid colors and the tales of history.

 

Yanina, the world-renowned Russian couture house showcased for this first time in Dubai. The luxurious details, exquisite fabrics and serious attention to detail spoke to Yulia Yanina’s vision, creativity, and powerful personality.

 

Closing the show was Parisian fashion house, Loris Azzaro who is celebrating 50 years of creativity with their SS’17 Couture collection. The collection was designed in collaboration with Bianca Brandolini and Eugenie Niarchos and pays tribute to the house’s most iconic dresses.
