Some of us girls happen to have more guy friends than girlfriends. We’ve facedย a lot of criticism, loadsย ofย judgemental looks and prejudices, but there happens to be plenty of perks to being a girl with a group of guy friends! Here are a few of them:ย
1- Lots and lots of food
Feeling bad about having eaten a whole box of pizza all by yourself? They’ve probably had triple that! They also seem to always be up for food. You don’t feel self conscious about what you’re eating around them! They basically eat 3 times more than you do, and honestly that’s what you need in life.
2-They act as a translators when you’re getting mixed signalsย
Whenย you’re getting mixed signals from a guy you like, they help you decrypt theย messages. They tell you if the guy likes you and is playing hard to get, or if he’s just not interested. They’re honest.
3-They help you carry stuff
If you’re thinking about moving some stuff around the house or carrying a big bag, they always help. They’ve got the muscles to help you lift things.
4- A break from gossipย
A lot of girls don’t like drama and a lot of men live for it, but typicallyย a group of guy friends wouldย crave gossip a lot less than a group of women. They talk about girls, yes, but they probably won’t talk about “ebn khalet aribet sahbet sahbetna” whoย wore that dress in X’s wedding, and OMG she looked weird.
5- Chilled nights andย video games
No one likes Xbox and Playstationย like a group of guy friends. Ifย you just want to chill and play video games, they’re pretty good at doing that. If you’re a girl with a group of guy friends, this typeย of ‘hangout’ย happens often.

We all get those catcall phone calls! And if you don’t have a close guy friend around, you can’t throw the pervertย off until he gives up and gets bored inย a week or so. But when you’ve got a group of guy friends around you all the time, they’ll be able to pick up. The harrasser surely won’t call again! Wohoo.
7- Introduce you to their single friends
One of the best things about having a big group of guy friends, is getting to see and meet their single friends. They’re your best wingmen. They probably also tell you who’s worth the effort and who isn’t! It’s actually productive to have them.
